Resistive Divider Circuit

Resistive divider circuit can alternatively be called as voltage divider circuit. Such a circuit is shown in the following figure:

This circuit divides the input voltage Vin depending on the resistance values according to the following formula:

Vout = Vin x (R2/(R1 + R2))

Vout is the output voltage, which is nothing but the voltage across R2 resistor. Since both the resistors values are same as 10KΩ, the circuit would divide the input voltage equally across both the resistors. If the Vin is provided with a value of 1 V, the value of Vout would be 0.5 V.

Under this design tutorial, we would build the same circuit using Electric tool and observe the simulated output using the LTspice tool.
