L&T Emsys Interview Question Bank continued from Part 3…

Q : The function y(t)=x(t) + t.sin(t) is time variant or invariant?

A : The above function is time variant.

Q : The system y(n)=x(n)+x(n-1) is causal, anti-causal or non-causal?

A : The system is causal.

Q : What is the Fourier Transform (FT) of impulse signal?

A : The FT of impulse signal is equal to 1.

Q : What is transducer? Give an example.

A : Transducer is a device that converts any physical quantity into an electrical signal for example, Cathode Ray Oscilloscope (CRO).

Q : What is the fundamental frequency of sin(3t)?

A : Its fundamental frequency is 3/2Π because, ω=3 ≡ 2Πf=3 ≡ f=3/2Π.

Q : Which flip flop is used for binary storage?

A : D flip-flop is used for binary storage because of its functionality.

Q : What is gateway?

A : Gateway is a piece of networking hardware that acts as an entry point to another network. It is used for interfacing with another network that uses different protocols.

Q : What is the sliding window concept in protocols?

A : The sliding window is an abstract concept that defines the range of sequence numbers that are the concern of the sender and receiver. According to this concept, sender has its own concerned set of frames that are to be sent at a time and receiver has its own set of frames to be received. The protocols working under this concept are – Stop & Wait ARQ, Go-Back-N ARQ and Selective Repeat ARQ protocols.

Hope this helps you in your preparation for ECE core companies.
